For-A LTR-100HS LTO-5 Video Archiving Recorder Is a simple and effective archival solution that utilizes LTO-5 technology--the current high-end standard for long-term, high-capacity tape storage. The unit records HD or SD video to tape as MXF-wrapped MPEG-2 files, which can be easily read by any professional NLE system. This makes for a straightforward transition into a file-based video storage, bringing new efficiency to file-ingest workflows while reducing archive space requirements.

When combined with a 1.5TB LTO-5 tape, the LTR-100HS's internal 2TB hard drive allows it to "archive at ingest" as well as act as a material/program exchange media server. Front panel controls, an LCD monitor, and jog/shuttle knob make scene search and playback a breeze, while HD/SD-SDI inputs and outputs, AES/embedded audio, RS-422 control, and a USB 2.0 interface give you the control and versatility you'll need for reliable, cost-effective archiving.
