Company 3 Chooses Streambox to Provide Virtual Color Grading Sessions to Commercial Clients Around the World

Streambox provides Company 3 accurate color, quality video, and reliable transmission over IP to remote locations for color grading in commercial use applications.

Streambox, Inc. today announced that award winning post house, Company 3, uses Streambox to facilitate remote color grading sessions for commercial clients around the world. By leveraging Streambox unique ACT-L3 codec, Company 3 can rely upon accurate color and grayscale when sending video over IP. Using Streambox 9300 Encoders and Decoders, Company 3 can send professional quality video to their clients at 12-25 Mbps with sub-2 second latency, allowing the client to observe the colorist’s work in real-time while the two parties are in separate locations.

Company 3 looked for a reliable, accurate, digital, end-to-end solution that provided the high quality video they required over relatively low bandwidth. Streambox HD 9300 rackmount encoders and decoders met their high requirements for quality, accuracy, and reliability. “We run multiple sessions from various locations around the world,” says Phil Mendelson, CTO of Deluxe Creative Services Group. “With Streambox we have the color accuracy we require at all times.”

LDMP technology is the Streambox exclusive reliable protocol. As a reliable protocol, LDMP receives receipt verification and maintains low latency for every packet that it sends.  This helps Company 3 to overcome any problems due to packet loss over unreliable or poor quality public internet connections, allowing for reliable sessions anywhere in the world at any time. Now Company 3 can engage with clients in remote locations all over the world, giving them confidence in the accuracy and quality of the video stream.

As Streambox continues to evolve and innovate, it brings its customers along with it, helping them to extend the range of possible solutions over IP.
